Before entering the flooring industry, Michael built his career leading large-scale operations and customer-focused organizations—managing student housing communities, overseeing leasing, operations, team development, training, customer service, and extensive renovation projects. Those experiences taught him that exceptional businesses aren't built by chance; they're built through strong leadership, thoughtful systems, continuous improvement, and people who genuinely care about serving others.

His connection to flooring began more than two decades ago while renovating rental properties, where he saw firsthand how dramatically new flooring could transform a home—improving its appearance, value, functionality, comfort, and the way people experience the spaces where they spend their lives.

Building More Than a Flooring Company

While Michael genuinely enjoys the flooring industry, his greatest passion has never been flooring alone—it's building exceptional organizations. Flooring became the opportunity to combine leadership, technology, customer experience, craftsmanship, marketing, education, and continuous improvement into one company dedicated to serving homeowners throughout Northern Colorado.

Today, Michael leads the long-term vision and strategy for Peak Flooring, continually investing in the people, systems, technology, and processes that allow the company to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Under his leadership, Peak Flooring has grown into one of Northern Colorado's trusted locally owned flooring companies, serving homeowners from three showrooms in Estes Park, Longmont, and Loveland.

Education, Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Michael is especially passionate about education because he knows flooring is one of the most important investments homeowners make. Rather than simply recommending products, he believes customers deserve to understand the advantages, tradeoffs, and long-term value of every option available to them. His goal is never to sell the most expensive floor—it's to help every customer choose the right floor for the way they live.

As technology continues to reshape both retail and home improvement, Michael remains committed to keeping Peak Flooring at the forefront of innovation—from digital measuring technology and operational systems to artificial intelligence, customer education, and data-driven decision making.

One of his proudest accomplishments isn't opening additional locations or growing the business—it's building a team of talented people who genuinely care about one another and about serving customers well. Many of his closest friendships have been formed through Peak Flooring, and creating a workplace where people can grow meaningful careers remains one of his highest priorities.
